PROFICENCY...AGAIN!

I think I am crazy. Today I made an incription for CPE in June. Yes, I will make this exam again. The first time I made it was on 13 th December 2007, I was ill and the results were terribly bad. This time I hope to get a better mark (at least C). I have to prepare this exam completely alone and the worst thing for me is writing and speaking. I usually see films in English. Grammar it is not so difficult, but you I need to practice again because I forgot a lot. My vocabulary is terrible and I always have problems with "connectors", "phrasal verbs" and using the right tense.
I don't know. I just think I am very nervous. I will do my best, but maybe I am not still ready for it and the worse is that 80% the candidates are younger than me (just 16 or 17 years old!!). At least, they were that time when I took up this exam. It was like a nightmare; completely alone there, among teens and feeling completely sick.
Wish me luck, because I will need it!

    Lydia, I Know that the proficency is very difficult, but I think that you have a very good level. Perhaps Felicity can help you giving some classes before the exam !!!! And finaly you have to think that it is only an exam and you can apply again, but I hope that this wouldn´t be necessary !!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

Paris, je t'aime

Last bank holiday (for 1st of May) I spent 5 days in Paris. Just "Paris et moi", but it was amazing. Paris is really a city to get lost and enjoy yourself. Moreover when the weather is sunny and rather warm. And that, fortunately, was my case. An European capital and cosmopolitan city is ideal if you are travelling alone, because you hardly missed anybody (of course, sometimes I would have like to share thoughts and vivences with someone, but travelling alone is also a really good experience). I don't need much to enjoy myself. Breathtaking views, vibrant atmosphere, monumental buildings, huge museums and a sunny day (or at least without rain, please, because the sky in Paris was often cloudy). Eiffel tower, Louvre + Orsay + Pompidou Museums, Tuilleries gardens, Concorde square, Champs Elysées, Arche de Triomphe, Pantheon, Notre Dame, le Marais, Montmatre, etc. There is a place for everybody and for every moment in the french capital.
